Make a license plate to tell others about Jesus

Have the boys make a bicycle, go-cart, four-wheeler or golf-cart license plate to tell others about Jesus.

Suggested Time:

This activity can be completed in about 30 minutes.

Materials Needed:

License Plate sheets

Heavy Display-Board or Plywood (pre cut into 3x8 inch pieces). Bright display-board that glows in the dark is best.

Water Color Markers (Permanent markers may not work well.)

Glue

Glitter

Hole Punch for display boards or drill for plywood

Pipe Cleaners

Scissors

Activity Suggestions:

Allow the boys to construct a personal license plate.

Have the RAs complete the License Plate sheet and place it in their notebooks.

Mission Fields:

This activity touches the following mission fields: My Life.

Devotional Thoughts:

(Choose one of these devotional thoughts to share with the boys during the leader’s time.)

For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son. (John 3:16)

But God demonstrated His love for us. (Romans 5:8)

Go home and tell your family how much the Lord has done for you. (Mark 5:19-20)

To learn how to carry the message of Christ around the world. (RA Pledge)

Instructions:

Cut a piece of heavy display-board or plywood three inches by eight inches. Decorate the license plate. You can use markers, glue and glitter, or other items to construct your plate.

Write these letters on your license plate: J L M T I K

Place glue on the license plate. Sprinkle glitter on the glue. Allow the glue time to dry. Shake off the excess glitter. The glitter will remain where there was glue.

Cover the front and back of the plate with clear contact paper. Punch or drill two holes in the top of the plate. Put pipe cleaner through each hole. Twist it onto your vehicle.

People will ask you what the letters mean. Tell them: “Jesus loves me this I know.”
